This portable, motorized 80mm refractor telescope is ideal for astronomy buffs on-the-go, or for those looking for a compact telescope setup with precise automatic tracking abilities. Its 80mm (3.1″) aperture and 350mm focal length (f/4.3) will provide nicely detailed views of brighter objects in the night sky, such as the Moon, bright planets, and a few distant deep space objects like sparkling star clusters and brighter nebulas. Since the Orion StarBlast AutoTracker mount is included, you’ll be able to inspect celestial gems over extended periods of time as the mount automatically tracks them once you’ve centered the object manually. Thanks to its dual-encoder clutch mechanism, you can aim the 80mm refractor telescope manually without the tracking system losing its alignment. The included An EZ Finder II is included to help aim the refractor telescope accurately, and two included 1.25″ eyepieces provide two different magnifications (35x and 14x respectively) right out of the box! Weighs just 11.4 lbs. when assembled. Eight AA batteries are required for motorized operation of the Orion StarBlast 114mm AutoTracker Reflector Telescope; or you can use an optional 12V, 2 amp power supply or AC adapter (batteries and optional power supplies sold separately).
